Notion has become the default operating system for modern businesses. VAs who can build and maintain Notion workspaces, databases, and SOPs are in high demand. Learn to create templates, set up project trackers, and build client portals. That skill alone can command a premium rate.
2. Slack
Slack is where remote work happens. But most people use it badly. A VA who can structure channels, set up automations, and manage communication workflows becomes indispensable. Learn Slack workflows, integrations, and notification discipline.
3. Canva Pro
Every business needs social media content. Canva Pro is the fastest way to produce it. Master brand kits, templates, batch creation, and the background remover. A VA who can produce a week of social content in two hours is worth their weight in gold.
HubSpot (or a CRM)
CRM management is one of the highest-paying VA skills. Learn contact management, pipeline tracking, email sequences, and reporting. You don’t need to master every CRM. Pick one (HubSpot is the most common) and learn it deeply.
5. Zapier
